EFRTC General Assembly
held in Amsterdam on the 2nd December 2005 was hosted by the Netherlands
National Association, as well by the contractor BAM RAIL B.V.
The President, Mr. Jeremy Candfield, and Mr. Rolando Naggar, Secretary
General, illustrated the activity and progress of their Study Groups which
are involved in the main objectives of EFRTC:
- Railway infrastructure maintenance and renewals efficiency,
project RIMARE;
- Harmonisation of procurement procedures;
- Safety of rail track;
- European standards applicable to EFRTC activity.
The close collaboration of UNIFE has permitted to include the project
RIMARE elaborated by EFRTC/EIM - European Infrastructure Managers Association
in the INNOTRACK research proposal submitted to the EU Commission.
